Shipping partner policy
Draft prepared for OzzBaba. Have a lawyer review it for every country you operate in before relying on it.
This policy applies to freight, courier, pallet, air and sea carriers (shipping companies) that register on OzzBaba. It sits alongside the Terms of use.
1. Registering and verification
- You must be a registered business that can lawfully carry goods in the countries you list.
- Provide your legal name, country, business registration or tax number, dispatch contact details and the countries you deliver to (or choose worldwide only if you truly can).
- Only verified shipping companies can be booked by suppliers. We may refuse or remove verification. Tell us promptly about changes, lapses in licences or insurance, or sanctions.
- Hold the insurance, licences and permits your services require (for example cargo, public liability, dangerous goods and customs broker licences).
2. Delivery requests and quotes
- Suppliers send you a request for an order. You can quote, accept or decline. Quote in the order's currency, and say whether the price covers customs, duties and insurance.
- A quote you accept is a commitment. Do not accept jobs you cannot perform in the agreed time.
- You only see the details you need to carry out the job (pickup and delivery addresses and contacts, delivery notes), not order prices.
3. Handling and updating shipments
- Collect on the agreed date. Update the shipment status as it happens (picked up, in transit, delivered) and add a tracking number or reference.
- Marking a shipment as picked up updates the order to shipped. Marking it delivered updates the order to delivered. Update honestly. A false delivery update can be treated as fraud.
- Keep proof of pickup and delivery (signatures, photos, scans) for at least 12 months.
4. Goods, customs and compliance
- Check goods are packed and described correctly, and refuse items you may not lawfully carry. Follow export, import, customs, dangerous goods and sanctions rules (see Sanctions and trade compliance).
- You are responsible for goods from collection until delivery, including loss and damage, unless your agreement with the booking party says otherwise.
5. Payment between you and the supplier
Delivery charges are agreed between you and the party that books you. OzzBaba does not guarantee that a customer will pay unless we tell you in writing. Do not hold goods to extort extra payment outside the agreed terms.
6. Personal information
Use buyer and supplier personal information only to deliver the shipment and meet legal duties. Do not sell it, market to it, or share it beyond subcontractors who need it.
7. Service levels
We may track on-time performance, claims and complaints. Repeated failures, fraud or unsafe handling can lead to suspension or removal.
8. Ending
You can stop offering services at any time after finishing accepted jobs. We may suspend or end your account under the Terms of use.
